The University of Notre Dame Australia is well-known, not only for the level of teaching offered by it, but also due to its campuses in the historical town. The University

The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) was established in the year 1989 and first batch of students was enrolled in the year 1992. There are two main campuses of the university in Western Australia, namely Fremantle campus and Broome campus. Apart from these, there is a newly discovered university campus in Sydney, established in 2006.

There are different faculties included in the list of the university. These include faculties of Law, Business, Education, Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Theology. This is amongst the fastest growing universities of Australia. The university enrols as many as 6,500 students, out of which 415 students belong to international locations. The university shares close association with University of Notre Dame in the United States.

The Good Universities Guide has granted seven five star ratings to the University for its Excellence in various areas. The students rank the university at a high place for offering graduate satisfaction. The university is also a growing name in the field of research programs, especially in the areas like education and health.

Major Areas of Study

There are different areas of study accommodated by the university, which include Accounting and Finance, Science, Commerce, Communications, Education, English Literature, Health and Physical Education, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Nursing, Science, Social Sciences and Theology.

International Student Services

The international student services offered by the university are student office, accommodation facilities, placement services, career counselling, home return programs, airport reception and orientation sessions.

Accommodation

The university has restricted number of on-campus accommodations, which are quickly filled up at the start of semesters. However, one can seek off-campus accommodations around university campus.

Airport Pickup

The Student Life Office of the university arranges for airport pickup services for the new students arriving from different international spots. These services are available free of charge and one can opt for these services at the beginning of the semester.

Orientation Meeting

The orientation meetings are compulsory for every new student to attend. There are orientation weeks, offered by the university in the start of the semester. These services are meant to introduce new students to their fellow students and staff members and also inform them about their schedules and timetables.

Opportunities to Study Abroad

The University of Notre Dame Australia offers study abroad opportunities, along with student exchange programs to facilitate overseas students coming from various countries. For this, the university constantly makes effort to build links with universities located in Asia-Pacific, Europe and United States.
