Carrick Citations, an Australian Government initiative, has awarded UNE in the fields of distance education, on-campus teaching, online learning and interface between teaching and research. UNE has also been rated amongst Asia-Pacific’s leading 100 Universities and amongst the world’s leading 500 Universities.

The ratio between staff and students is quite low in UNE as compared to other Australian Universities. Sufficient opportunities are provided to students for interacting with staff and students for facilitating effective learning. International Student Services

Student Services help international students through assistance in orientation, health cover, airport reception, accommodation and advices on visa renewals.

Accommodation

Self-catering flats and residential colleges are available on UNE campus accommodating about 50% of the internal students of UNE. Off-campus accommodation includes rented apartments and houses, private board, and flats in Wright village.

Airport Pickup

The University’s International Office plans and arranges for the students’ reception from the airport at Armidale.

Orientation Meetings

Orientation programs are conducted by international office during February (1st semester) and July (2nd semester), which includes excursions, information sessions regarding the university and Australian culture.
