International Student Services
The Programs Office for international students takes care of:
- Airport pickup and accommodation transport
- Pre-departure assistance
- Orientation programs for assisting with academic, social and living arrangements.
- Social activities and entertainment
- English language and academic skills tutoring
- Assistances with visas, health insurances and similar regulatory issues.
- Excursions
- Support services like financial advice, health care, careers and personal counselling
Accommodation
Assistance is provided for finding suitable accommodation ranging from on-campus hostels, residential halls, private board, shared housing and home stay. Residents Management office is responsible for assisting with University accommodation whereas Student Housing office takes care of private accommodation help.
Airport Pickup
The Programs Office for international students arranges the airport pickup of new students if intimated in time. Students are then taken to the accommodation booked for them.
Orientation Meetings
Attendance of orientation programs is compulsory for incoming international students for introducing them to the Australian lifestyle and assisting them with computer skills, English Language, administrative procedures like health cover, enrolment, study and library information.
Opportunities To Study Abroad
Overseas students can opt studying for a couple of semesters in Ballarat by taking up any of the available full-time academic discipline, usually at the undergraduate level. These students must have completed one year in their home institution with a GPA of 2.5 or above and satisfied the University’s entry requirements concerning English Language.
