International Student Services
Wide range of services and facilities including food, medical care, entertainment, spiritual guidance, family advisory, legal and language services, and disability support are made available for the students. The International Admissions Service arranges support activities for the international students like airport reception, visa renewal assistance and accommodation help.
Accommodation
Monash University has eight campuses out of which six of them have on campus accommodation which are self-contained units with furniture, bathroom and central kitchen facilities. These six campuses are Berwick, Gippsland, Clayton, Peninsula, South Africa and Malaysia. Off-campus accommodation includes home stay, part board, full board, rented houses and hostels.
Airport Pickup
Airport reception is arranged by the International Admissions facility. This was formerly called as the Monash International.
Orientation Meetings
Compulsory four session induction programs are conducted for new postgraduate students for introducing them to primary issues like learning styles, performance expectations and strategies. The other module of the program emphasizes upon scholarship, skills required, information search and research. This module is followed by a session concerned with approaching assignments, synthesizing ideas, addressing questions, and developing a study structure. The last module introduces the students to department representatives for discussing administrative matters and discipline specific issues.
Opportunities to Study Abroad
Students are encouraged for completing a part of their study at Monash’s partner Universities in the world. This helps in developing contacts and augmenting global knowledge. Students who desire to avail this program are required to be studying in Monash since the last twelve months (for full-time students) and two years for part time students.
