The establishment of Macquarie University took place in the year1964. Today, about 32,000 students study here and the international students are 8,900 in number, belonging to over 71 different countries of the world. International Student Services

Student Services help the student in solving the problems related with accommodation, fees, health cover, social activities, personal welfare and study skills. Orientation programs, English trainings and social events are organized for international students for making them comfortable. Facilities such as childcare centres, hotels, food outlets and medical centres are also made available for the students.

Accommodation

Accommodation services help in organizing temporary as well as long-term accommodation. Hostels, fully furnished apartments and residential colleges can be found in and around the campus as well.

Airport Pickup

The University’s Accommodation Services collect the students (international as well as full-degree) from the international airport when informed in advance.

Orientation Meetings

Orientation is conducted within a week of the commencement of classes. International students have to mandatory attend these meetings. The program spans for one week and includes program enrolment, information sharing over Sydney’s lifestyle, study skills and academic advice, and fun opportunities for making friends.
