The Australian Catholic University has campuses in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Ballarat and Melbourne. It was established in the year 1991 when four tertiary institutions of Catholic background came together. These institutions have traditions and experiences which almost go back to two centuries. This Public University gets its funds from the Government of Australia with its awards holding equal status as the other Universities that exist in Australia. Sophisticated technology is used for bridging the distance that exists between the various campuses of this university. The University is equally respectful towards people of all religions.
The University provides courses which are equally relevant to careers as well as society. The Staff is highly motivated with keen interest in assisting International Students. Consequently, about 15,800 students study in these campuses on account of its high satisfaction and course completion rates. The strength of International Students is about 3000, which are primarily from China, India, USA, France and such 60 countries.

Orientation programs are conducted by the University two weeks prior to the day when the next academic year commences. International Students have to compulsorily attend these programs. The students are provided information about the study methods, culture, general procedures and social customs which are practiced in Australia.
Opportunities To Study Abroad
The students can select from among various subjects ranging from Sports Science to Australian Studies to Theology, to study abroad, for about a couple of semesters. Each unit of study has 10 credit points which translates into the fact that the students have to complete at least 3 and at most 4 units in each and every semester.
